Saving money

If you're interested in keeping the price of your new floorcoverings down and are prepared to do a little bit of work, here's some extra things you can do so you don't pay us to do them for you!

• Measure up and email us the details. Take careful measurements of the room(s) you need the floorcoverings in, drawing a plan if necessary. Describe the type and condition of the sub-floor, e.g. rough concrete, old timber boards with gaps, new smooth particle board etc. Maybe you have existing floorcoverings: ceramic tiles, cork floor, rubberback carpet? Tell us as much as you can.

Submit the details to us by email or via our website's form along with an idea of the type of floor you'd like to put down. We'll be able to use the information to send you an estimate of what your new floor will cost.

Move your own furniture. Grab a friend or family member, and get them to lend you a hand in emptying your room(s) from furniture. Your time and effort will save you money.

Remove the old floorcoverings. If you're replacing old floorcoverings, take it up yourself to save $.

Re-use what you can. If you're replacing carpet, you may be able to re-use the existing carpet's underlay to save having to purchase more. Rubber inserts that edge carpet/tile areas may also be in good enough condition to be re-used. We can help you decide if there's something worth re-using.
